As the name of the coffee table suggest, this play coffee table is actually
a slide-puzzle top. So that you can actually PLAY on the coffee table.

This is a close up on the play coffee table surface. As you can see, the coffee table is made of very high quality walnut veneered plywood.

Well, looks pretty find to me. But the only thing is the price. It cost US$7599.00 at the point of posting.

What do you think of this volinia coffee table with a merlot top?

I like the merlot finishing. Reminds me of my red wine glass.

Would you rather prefer this volinia coffee table with glass top?

I still think the merlot table top is nicer. The Volinia Series is available as an End Table, Console Table, Dining Table as well as a Desk.

The design is not spectacular but still practical. At least for me. What do you think?

Wooden coffee table(aff) might be boring for some people.

But they are really the living soul of the living room, where you rest and relax watching tv or listening to music.

When looking at a wooden coffee table, there are 3 important considerations. Design,Functionality and Finishing.

Design

Consider the size of your coffee table. How big do you really want it to be? 3 feet? 1 meters?

How tall? How wide? How short?

I have seen all sorts of guidelines. But the truth is, you really have to decide it for yourself. Link the size of your coffee tables to the functionality and the surrounding. It really make things easier for you.

Look at your sofa. How tall is it? Picture your coffee table beside it. How tall should it roughly be?

Functionality

Wood is a fantastic material for making furniture. It can be crafted and machined to many many pieces of beautiful art and useful stuffs.

For example, coffee tables made from pine wood can be finished in espresso finish for a lovely touch.

Another example would be maple wood combined with a simple lacquer to provide you with a very natural wooden look. The lacquer also creates a very durable and glossy finish. This only translates to more durable wooden coffee tables.

Finishing

Finally, do note that the finishing of the coffee table will create all kinds of styles of coffee tables.

A combination of lacquer plus maple will create a rather conservation/traditional look. Pine and espresso will get you a modern feel.

Wooden coffee tables are really a good way to end your search for coffee tables!
