Hi, welcome to Coffeetablezone. Firstly, I hope you like this design. I experimented with a few designs, asked a couple of people for comments, before deciding on this design. If you do not like this design, please let me know. I will try to do something about it.
Basically, this blog is still under renovation. I hope to get it done by the chinese new year, or at least most parts of it. Anyway, for the benefit of those who are already here. Here is something for you today.
I asked myself this question. What exactly is a coffee table? How do you define or what do you mean by coffee table? I went to google for answers of course.
Answer.com defined it as “A long low table, often placed before a sofa. Also called cocktail table.”
Dictionary.com has 3 definition. But I really like this one. “a low table, usually placed in front of a sofa, for holding ashtrays, snack bowls, glasses, magazines, etc.”
The usual location for a coffee table is somewhere near the sofa, at some distance away from the television. Typically, they are used as a location for holding beverages and reading information.
For me, my living room coffee table is a place for my meals, i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sometimes I use it for coffee too and magazines of course. I read the HWM(hardware mag singapore). And its an important place for remote controls. Even though i always have trouble finding them around the house.

How cool is that? I found this picture from monsterscifishow blog. I think that is “The Coffee Table”. An alien coffee table at your very own home. Imagine visiting the toilet at night. Well, I was unable to find out whether they actually sell one of those alien coffee tables. If you found where they sell it please inform me, so that i can post the information here.
By the way, the first table that you see is from a company called BoConcept. That particular table is called the Occa 674 coffee table. As you can see, there are two panels on top which you can lift up for dinner. Such tables are known as lift top coffee table. This is a coffee table with storage too. Perfect for remote controls and magazines. You can also customize the finishing for the coffee table. 5 different finishes are available. All these at a price of USD$899.
